On this International Women’s Day, we at DigiDolphs celebrate the trailblazing women who are shaping the world through creativity, storytelling, and innovation. The theme of this year’s IWD, ‘Accelerate Action’, is a powerful call to push forward, amplify voices, and drive meaningful change. In the ever-evolving landscape of digital media, women creators have an essential role—not just in crafting compelling stories but in influencing real-world action.

The Responsibility of Creators in the Fight for Democracy

Storytelling has always been a force for change. From ancient myths to digital narratives, stories shape cultures, challenge injustices, and inspire movements. Today, as misinformation spreads and voices are silenced, the responsibility of creators has never been greater.

Women creators, in particular, have a unique opportunity to fight for truth, inclusivity, and democracy. Through ethical storytelling, transparent journalism, and impactful video content, we can shape narratives that uplift marginalised voices, expose inequalities, and advocate for sustainability. The stories we tell today determine the future we create tomorrow.

Why Sustainable Storytelling Matters

In addition to shaping minds, the way we create content impacts the environment. Traditional video production can leave a large carbon footprint, from energy-intensive shoots to excessive digital storage. As conscious creators, we must embrace eco-friendly methods that not only enhance efficiency but also protect our planet. The Tools I Use to Create Impactful, Sustainable Content

With AI tools evolving at an accelerated pace, I do my best to stay updated through key newsletters and industry insights. Today, I want to share my workflow for the 8-second video I created for IWD. Is it perfect? No. But that’s not the point.

What excites me is how we can now create something meaningful at a speed that would have been unthinkable even a year ago. With a little more time, refinement, or investment in extra AI credits, the quality might improve—but perfection isn’t the goal. What truly matters is the feeling a piece of content evokes.

If my video can spark a moment of joy, a glimmer of hope, or even just a brief pause for curiosity, then it has done its job. Because sometimes, the most impactful stories aren’t the flawless ones—they’re the ones that make us stop, breathe, and smile, even in their imperfections.
